I start my words congratulating you wholeheartedly. You mentioned about your web page on Melek’s Night but I could not enter your page until yesterday. Apart from the time at work, I guess, I should shorten the time I spend on the computer and maybe try not to get myself away from other things in my dream like, reading, building summer and winter houses, opening fasting, taking photographs, reproducing and distributing them.
I entered your web page today. Not the whole of it, but I glanced firstly the “new” ones, then the pages about artists like Füsun, Gülsin, Mine and Dilek, and then the pages with the headings ‘Who Am I , I have learned, Dream and Tomorrow may not come’. I forget, I also read your reaction to the news about beating of woman. It would be a lie if I say that I read it all; nevertheless, I should say that to be able to feel your breath would be sufficient to meet your style again, which I missed very much.
Natural, easy and positive memories that encourage one to live and give meaning to life; your page adorned with photos… In addition to your writings about the places visited and seen, I also liked your comments and your reactions to the places you lived and daily news.
I loved the photos you have taken. I thought you could increase your concentration not only in writing but also in taking photographs. Really, the ice cream cornet and simits are the ones I like first (don’t say “of course, you fast, that’s way”… Believe me it is not because of that, besides, I am one from those minority group who are not fond of ice cream) I am curious to know if Atakans saw the sight of Atakan house … My appetite has increased a lot as a person who has not seen Alaçatı.
I regretted that I missed 10th October from Bebek to Hisar with Ayfer… Meanwhile, Rumeli Hisari is what you have taken, Dear Madame, Rumelihisari Feneri is at where the Bosphorus ends, at Rumeli Kavağı… I think it is worth to wonder around there one day. If there is Poyraz wind and the weather is cloudy, with the fierce waves, one can get such a dramatic and wild sight…Besides, the name of that small mosque is not Rumeli mosque but I am not that certain about it.
Dear Tülin, I have learned during the breakfasts we had and from your writings that anyone who wishes to go somewhere with someone in the world with closed eyes, that person would be you. One can feel at ease under all conditions and in all places with you without feeling run down while listening to your impressions about manners, knowledge, traveling and life.
I am proud of you and I feel happy about your existence and friendship. Meanwhile, some kind of smell comes to my nose about a ‘Tülin book’ from horizon. Let this be known like this.

-When you first started your web page, I read 1-2 of your writings then a long time passed. Yesterday, you mentioned about your web page and I decided to have a look at it to see what has happened. I have read 5-6 of your writings that we might be in too and two writings about our mutual acquaintances. I was attracted not only by the progress on your expression ability, but the change on the subjects that effect and leave a trace in you, and on the things that you might want to tell about. My opinion was formed in accordance with what I read. I will read the rest at the earliest opportunity, and follow your new writings. I congratulate you for thinking about such a thing. It will be a very pleasant memory for you and Aytac’s family tree and for new comers to you family in the future. The story is about two friends traveling in the desert.
During a certain stage of the journey, they start to have a row and one of them slaps the other on the face.
The one slapped on the face is terribly hurt but does not say a word; he writes the following on the sand:
“TODAY, MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME ON THE FACE.”
They continue walking until they come across an oasis in which they can wash.
The slapped one gets caught in a swamp but is saved by his friend just as he is drowned.
As soon he recovers himself, he scrapes the following on a piece of rock: ”TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE .”
The one who slaps and saves the life of his best friend asks him: “When I hurt you, you wrote it on the sand but now you write it on a rock now, why is that?”
His friend replies: “When someone hurts us, we should write that on sand so that when the forgiving wind blows, it can wipe it out. But when someone makes something good for us, then we should scrape it on a rock so that no wind can eliminate it.”
YOU MUST LEARN TO WRITE YOUR STRAINS ON SAND AND SCRAPE THE FAVOURS YOU GET ON ROCKS.
They say: it takes a few minutes to find a special person, one hour to evaluate him and one day is sufficient to love him but you need a lifetime to forget him. Send these words to people that you will not forget. Do not forget to resend it to the person who sent it to you. This is a message that will show that you will never forget them. If you have not sent it to anybody, it means that you are in a fuss and you have forgotten your friends already. Spare time to live.

Everything started with the wish of my father to go to Lyon-Fenerbahce match. I am a fan of Fenerbache but as Paris was the subject in question, my mother and I prepared our suitcases. We made urgent Paris updates...
Of course, our hotel was at Madeleine; to pass from Conran, to glance at fauchon’s window, Olympia’s still on our agenda… The glitter of French people despite their smartness and arrogance..
Here are my ‘in’s….
BRASSERIE LIPP IS A CLASSIC, A ST. GERMAIN CLASSIC. TELL THEM NOT TO ORDER COLA. THEY GET AGGRESSIVE. Before us, the CEO of Pepsi Company was there; they didn’t give it even to him. Meantime, in the Jack Nicholson’s and Diane Keaton’s film “Something’s gotta give”, when Jack Nicholson came to Paris following Diane Keaton, they had a meal İN Brasserie Lipp.
SENSO IS NICE FOLLOWING THE SUCCESS OF ALCAZAR. CONRAD SAID THAT HE WOULD DO BETTER. MY FAVOURITE IS THE MIRRORS OF VENICE, ONE WANTS TO LIVE HERE.
THE TOP FLOOR OF GEORGE POMPIDOUI, THE VIEW AND THE MEAL IS SUPER.. The waitresses and the waiters are very attractive as well; my favourite meal is sushi and le tigre que pleure, Costes Brothers have performed superbly.
The Turks not going to the HOTEL COSTES are not allowed at THY PLANE. DURING LUNCH TIME, ALL THE CHICEST PEOPLE ARE THERE. We went there for dinner and sat with Salman Rushdi back to back. Meanwhile, if you are more than 6 people, it is difficult to seat on the same table.
A DRINK AT LAVENUE OR LAPPART IS SO IRRESISTIBLE, OF COURSE IF YOU WANT TO SEE KIR ROYAL, ESPECIALLY CLAUDIA SHIFFER..
ESCARGOT AND STEAK TARTAR AT CAFÉ DES THEATER IS a must.
SPOON BELONGS TO AN IMPORTANT CHEF ALAIN DUCASSE.
LA SUITE AND MAISON BLANCE ARE WONDERFUL NIGHT CLUBS. LUNCH AT COLETTE’S WATER BAR DEFINITE, SPECIALLY, YOU CANNOT EAT BECAUSE OF LOOKING AROUND TOO MUCH.
THERE IS STARCH AT MAISON BACCARAT CAFÉ. SPOIL YOURSELF…. CAFÉ CONSTANT IS SO NICE.
CAFÉ MARLY INSIDE LOUVRE MUSEUM IS VERY BEAUTIFUL IN THE EVENINGS TOO. IT IS SUCCESSFUL AT NOONTIME AS WELL. BUT DO NOT SIT ON THE TERRACE, IT IS BETTER TO BE INSIDE.
CANTEE DE FAUBOURG IS A SERIOUSLY FASHIONABLE RESTAURANT NOW. DRINK BAIGNON (STRAWBERRIES IN CHAMPAGNE). WE CELEBRATED THE OPENING OF PARIS A46. IT WAS VERY NICE.
IF YOU WANT TO BE DE SEX AND THE CITY GIRL IN PARIS ON A SATURDAY, DRINKING TEA AT PLAZA, ATHENEE OR BAR IS VERY NICE (VERY IN ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHTS)
MANRAY AND BUDDHA BAR COULD BE TO LIVE NOSTALGIA BUT IT IS OLD A BIT.
ONE MUST DEFINETELY GO TO THE NIGHT CLUB CABARET, OPPOSITE LOUVRE. THE MEN AT THE ENTRANCE ARE WORSE THAN THE SECURITY OF THE WHITE HOUSE.
When Carrie went to Paris after the Russian at ‘Sex and the City’, when she entered Chanel at St. Honore at Rue Faubourg, she slid over and fell down. SHE WAS SO ASHAMED THAT SHE BOUGHT ALMOST EVERYTHING.

I saw your personal web page by coincidence. Atif was looking at it recently. While I passed by, I said “very beautiful photos”, and right at that moment, I was introduced to you. I can usually state my feeling nicely but I would like to confess here that after reading what you have written, I almost became locked. I had worked the whole day and overcoming the heavy and boring traffic, I had come home. I have found myself in front of my computer reading your webpage and forgetting all my duties. I was reading them with such an attachment that I wasn’t hearing what my husband said to me.
I have been working with Aytaç Bey many years. Maybe, he is someone that I see more than my mother, father and even my husband. ..I know very well what he will react to... While reading your lines, I got upset about something last night. It was so late of me to find the opportunity of meeting you. You know, the sea has an excellent fragrance, or a child embracing his mother whom he hasn’t seen for years… What you have written were that sincere for me....I admired so much your way of transferring what you have lived. .
I keep a diary for years, and I still do. After studying your web page, I decided to leave the concept of diary and carry this out a little further. Meanwhile, before I forget, I would like to say something: This web page is a private one and you share with your friends. I have come to know about your webpage by coincidence as I was corresponding with Oya in the net. I have been reading and enjoying your writings for two days in the small breaks that I could seize in between my work hours. I have found the chance to read it in more detail today and I felt that I must congratulate you.
In fact, it is impossible not to admire your narrative style which is so naïve and lively. It is very interesting that I also had the opportunity to visit and see those places you write about. While I read your memories, all the beauties came back in a different format in front of my eyes.

I just read your forum contribution on Courmayeur; I agree with you, itt is a great place for skiing.
But please let me tell you that there was absolutely no need for you to exit Geneva through the French border, the Swiss have been (inofficially) accepting the Schengen visas at Geneva airport for some time, especially for passengers going to a French destination. At most road border crossings, you will rarely see customs inspectors. So next time you come through Geneva, don’t waste money for a Swiss visa (the Schengen visa will be OFFICIALLY accepted within the coming 6 months, following the bilateral agreements with Brussels).
